    each of the colours in the heart pairs are the same colour.. the overlay tricks your brain into seeing 2 different colours

    a bit clever if you ask me

    in this one the spiral arms are again the same colour

    load into photoshop and zoom right in if you are not convinced

    have a look at the last image ie the spirals.. you will perceive a green arm and a blue arm.. these are actually the same colour..
