September 20, 2012 at 2:51 pm #8339511thSignalParticipantlol, Max you are one in a million mate, a keyboard with a “finger” fan feckin classic.
January 5, 2013 at 8:33 pm #83396OccaParticipantOk Max has his finger fan but im after for a new keyboard as my old shittech is at its end now.
Has to be one with mechanical switches are the cherry mx reds the quiet ones? As I have no opponity test em irl I need to go on what I find out. So feel free to comment..
January 6, 2013 at 11:26 am #83397LammieParticipantI have a logitech G15, while has blue backlights, the newer G19 has the option to change to any colour you desire… http://www.logitech.com/en-us/product/g19-keyboard-for-gaming.
Depends on how much you want to spend.
January 6, 2013 at 8:00 pm #83398OccaParticipantIm looking for a keyboard with mechanical switches no need for lcd’s etc. Price: anything will do. Was just keen if anyone has had an opportunity to actually test different cherry switches… 🙄
January 7, 2013 at 6:37 pm #83399bmstalkerParticipantI use a razer tarantula keyboard, I’ve had it for years and it’s awesome. Not sure what you mean by “cherry mx reds” but the keys are mechanical and their pressure is just right. Not the quietest though.

there are some switches and keyboards. Guess ill just order one and return it if its for me 😆
January 8, 2013 at 5:37 pm #83401AlzirKeymasterSurely the difference between a mechanical keyboard and a normal one is marginal at best, unless you use some crazy macros or something? I use a bog standard Microsoft standard piece of shit which cost a tenner I think, and it is fine for gaming. I even spilt a full can of beer over it during the holidays and i’m still pulling in a four to five k/d in ps2 regularly.
I would ask yourself the question what do you want from a keyboard before looking at crazily priced items which I personally think are gimmicky at best. I think the only reason to get such a keyboard is if you use macros for something…something i’ve yet to find a use for personally. The slight improvement you witness will only be worth it at the very top levels of competitive play imho. I admit i’m calling this from a position of no experience, but I’d be shocked if this was worthy the financial outlay at our level of ability and commitment.
Oh and for clarity i’d say anything over 25 quid is a crazy price for a keyboard.
January 8, 2013 at 6:13 pm #83402TurksMeisterParticipantI bought a ridiculously over priced Logitech G15. It has a retarded little screen which i never use.
£50 badly spent.
