I was wondering whether any of you lot have exported your nicknames into the real world, i.e. does anyone shout, ‘Oi, Neon, the photocopier’s out of paper again!’ or ‘OldPhart, your dinner’s on the table!’, or ‘Excuse me, Mr. Egg Tamer, could you take me to Hyde Park, Please?’
I’ve found that the more I’ve played BF2, the more I’ve found myself becoming one with my handle, guys at the Tattoo Studio where I work have started calling me ‘Section’ as it’s now my everyday nickname. 8)

i often get called a WET bastard by irate customers!!! not sure how they know my handle but i always thank them kindly before fleecing them of £20 😀
2 months of working on BF2 last years and all of DICE just called me Hippo. got a few guys who through work just call me Hippo but not many
umm not really.. my real life nickname is gEE, The Glove or Marbles :/

And MAX we call Insane, weird ! Although to his face we normally just call him Mr Brown !

Thank goodness, I had wondered bout that. We had a real choker playing cricket for SA and our provincial team called Richard Snell, thought you might be related or something !
I’m ‘NeonSamurai’ on a few different forums and groups, so most of the people I interract with over the internet call me ‘Neon’. Just a name of a bar from a cyberpunk novel I picked up somewhere, so I’ve named myself after a fictional pub!
It was weird during the London get together when I get to meet everyone and find out they’re not really called MadHippy or Minti 😯
I chose Lensman just because I needed to call myself something when BF1942 came out. I tend to just use it now for any of my gaming stuff or message boards where I don’t want to use my real name (“Dolores”, btw, but only when I’ve had the final operation).
Hmm, my nick name and old playing name was Beggers, amended slightly from Begbie (Trainspotting), apparantely I used to be a little psychotic/aggressive……
Badger was due to the Hssrs requirement to have a Blackadder linkage and that appears to have stuck. All the cool names from the series were of course taken! Flash, Blacky, Von Richt etc…..
