March 12, 2007 at 10:52 pm #48283XDC wild egg tamerParticipantcome to London doc, must be plenty of work for GP’s down here………..money should be good and the XDC meets a good laugh when they happen 😉
March 12, 2007 at 10:59 pm #48284XDC-snellParticipantNeed my stairwell painted ?
March 12, 2007 at 11:03 pm #48285XDCJuDgE-MenTaLParticipantthere’s been plenty of work for GP’s for years, it’s just that the NHS won’t pay for them. 10million Londoners, 25 GP’s, there ya go, just don’t be getting all sick now.
Come back to NZ doc, it’s the only sane choice.
March 12, 2007 at 11:31 pm #48286LensmanParticipantSorry to hear that Hippy. Hope you find something soon.
Oh, and you too doc, of course.
March 13, 2007 at 11:22 am #48287XDC MadHippyParticipantHad the meeting – barstiches are only giving me 8 weeks money. I’m 28 days short of 9yrs service – gutted
Gis a Job?
March 13, 2007 at 11:45 am #48288LensmanParticipantCheck if the 28 days is inclusive of your notice period. E.g. If you are 28 days short now but are on 1 month’s notice, then that means you have 9 years continuous service.
Looks like they are giving you just the basic minimum – same applied to me last year and it’s a bitch.
But the amount should be tax free – or at least a decent proportion of it. I used to know all the details and fine print from last year, and got pretty familiar with it all. Faded into memory a bit but if you ask me something I may be able to fish back into the depths of my brain.
There’s very strict rules on the consultation process and about what should happen when. If they have slipped up on any of it you should push for more dosh. A mate of mine that worked for a brewery almost doubled his payout as he pointed out that they had broken the process.
I pushed back last year and got a bit more. Always worth a shot. What are they going to do – fire you? 😉
April 10, 2007 at 10:21 am #48289XDC MadHippyParticipantHi All,
Still looking for work 😥 It seems my management are gonna make my life hell for the last month too. One of em decided he wasn’t gonna talk to me anymore FFs!! This is stressfull enough with arseholes putting their two penneth worth in
April 10, 2007 at 10:46 am #48290AnonymousParticipantPunch him, headbutt him or whatever. It is illegal for them to give you a reference preventing you from gaining employment, so it’s not like they can go around telling people you beat up then management.
I’m still having not too much luck finding work and direct debits keep on coming =/ Oh well.. see the neurologist in a few weeks anyway so it’s probably for the best…
