Just noticed that if you are a squad leader, give orders to attack or defend positions, your squad get bonus points for this, so do you – notice the green bar in the top lefthand corner fills up the more squad points you get, once this bar is full press ‘enter’ and you get field upgrades, these come thick and fast btw, – field upgrades are temporary unlocks.
is this still a closed beta, because on the 2142.com website it states the beta is open for ALL fileplanet member.
i login in and get to the page where it asked for you to accept the NDA by entering your beta authentication key, but i haven’t frikking got the key.
pretty frustrating. 🙄
does being a member equate to paying money to subscribe, or will simply being signed up to flieplanet work?
Legit, if you read this turn off your VOIP to counter act CTDs, I had 4 that saturday, – seriously I love this game but if EA dont stonk a pile of wad into the fires of development this is gonna be their biggest community upset to date.

In some good news, while BF2142 runs nerf to crash at low settings (BF engine) on my top spec bitch of a PC.

runs without a glitch at med-high on the D3 engine with a lot more objective based fighting, this means no peeps spawning in a transport heli and going to your back flags and ‘pincers’ you lost the round. EA announces that beta testing of Battlefield 2142 will open up to another 10,000 testers tomorrow, with a paid subscription no longer required to test DICE’s coming shooter sequel, though a free registration is:
The Battlefield 2142 public beta period has been extended until Tuesday, September 12. In addition, due to the overwhelming response to the beta, DICE and EA have opened 10,000 new slots to the public.The 10,000 new slots are available on a first-come, first-served basis starting Friday, September 8th at 10am PST. A free GameSpy ID is required to participate.
A new version of the tuning beta is also available now, which already includes more than 1,000 changes to the game based on feedback from the beta to date. Current players will need to download the new client, but no new access key is required.
The beta has been a huge success over the past two weeks, with more than 65,000 gamers participating, helping DICE secure a clean launch for the game on October 17th
