The ’42 league games were some of the most memorable experiences I’ve had online, great times indeed. Anyone remember the match on Iwo Jima, where in one round we had our carefully laid out tictacs torn to shreds in the first few minutes, and spent the entire game holding out on the hill with our backs right against the wall? With the lot of us in one spot, and actually coordinating with alternating flak gunners and AT’s versus anything dangerous they sent up the slope, we held out for the full round. Some great flying by Spunks and maybe also Digit as well, or at least while we held onto the airfield. Either before or after that game, we walked all over them assaulting the island to complete our most impressive win of the season 🙂

smiling to myself remembering that game……46 and getting all doe eyed and sentimental over a game!!!!
hand grenading oneself up the cliffs on the Omaha map prior to the fix in the first patch. Totally unethical but funny to see all the troops being blown up and over the cliff face to take the rear base.

had some great games on bfbc2 tonight with doc, beer, queeks, ben and n0m. One point Doc was in the tank on hastings and had one of us in the tank with him and two covering him, I got an 8 kill streak, doc got a 15 kill streak and it was all awesome, especially seeing beer sweep low overhead in the chopper whilst two tanks, myself and doc surged forward using beer to call out the targets, was most fun!

Agreed, and it was nice to see you and Doc not having to share a tank for once, it made Team-Speak a much more peaceful place.. (apart from Doc’s massive fan) I still find that oddly funny 😆

7 is alright in my book. We had a difference over Wolf (Paddy). We could not decide whose bum-boy he was.
All sorted out in the end. Think 7 & I had posts to each other in the private section of the old forum.

My memory is short, I can’t remember the arguments at all really, it’s all a big haze. Looking forward to getting your tags Pharty, they will hang nicely next to n0m’s and Madmax’s!
