LOL
‘k question, what is windows genuine advantage? I’ve got a legit copy so am not worried but seem to have missed what this is? I assume it checks to see if you’re running a genuine Windows OS?
I dunno about the whole pricing for Windows…I mean on the one hand games are often £20-£30 so I can see an OS being double the price because it does at least double as much. I dunno, I mean you might as well argue MS make so much money that by rights they should give their software away for free these days. I doubt we’d have all these Ipods and fancy MACs kicking about quite so much without the MS monster bounding on?
October 17, 2006 at 12:13 pm #35861XDCsPUNKerParticipanterratic you dont have to worry about WGA if your copy is legit 😉
altho: http://blogs.zdnet.com/Bott/?p=142with regards to buying a copy. Im thinking about going to Vista but not untill all those poor sods have guineapig tested it to a stable point. Was going to buy XP today but then I fixed this one last night 😉

No no spend your dollers on other things, drugs, drink, women(not your lass) upgrades, not line Bill’s pockets for him to give to the needy of africa, if you want to give to africa do it directly or have a word with Vic he seem to know a few from the dark continent.

Well, with software all you’re really doing is paying for the license to use it. I could understand if they released it with manuals and hardware as a bundle and it came to £90, but how many millions of copies have they sold? If you’re just selling a CD ROM and a pamplet then the cost of those is next to nothing, so all you’re really paying for is the right to use their software. Basically they’re looking at about 90% profit per sale.
The bastards.

go buy yourself’s a legit licence then you gypsies! £90 not bad I say.
i love bill.
You missing the point..
It does not matter if you have a legit copy of windows or not. They will still turn off your windows if you don’t have it installed.
As i said.. there is an uproar about it as a lot of people with legit copies cant use the software because it fucks up there system. (most of the complaints are about the software fucking up there raid drivers, but there are other complaints also)
