got mine from total battlefield earlier and it appears to be a beta as theres only one server that seems to host called (appropriatly enough) 1.4 beta

Quite a bit of armour too it seems? But with all the nooks and carnies hiding from death by armour shouldn’t be too much of a worry. Dead easy to get the hang of if you enjoy BF2 city maps. Racked up 100 and something first go 🙂 Gawd bless new maps and the newbs who take a bit longer to get the hang of ’em.
So far as the bugs go…well I’ve been lucky really and rarely get a CTD although have been experiencing a few lost connections – But I think that’s due to a problem on my phone line as I don’t get a dial tone anymore when I use the landline. Server thingame seems a bit quicker? Not sure if anyone notices that?

patch seems ok so far (only played half an hour) I mean there is no major issue like there was with the support gun whores a few month ago…
crouch and prone seems a bit slower and sometimes dodgy… it shd take some time to et used to it…
a few players on the server I played complained that the enemy was not showing on UAV at some point … don t anything about that myself…
apart from that, the game almost looked smoother to me ..

finally had to re install thanks to teh nobskins at total bf2 and their earlier link to the beta 😡
not bad map jawellybobabad thingInstalled patch.. tried to run.. BF2 screen opened.. then shut.. fuck it.. binned the useless twatting thing!
Strole on BF2142
I noticed the other night that a player didn’t show on the UAV – He was playing as Spec Ops, not sure if that was the reason? It was bleeping, but no dot on the minimap.
Also, some grenades when thrown don’t appear to go off, some animations/sounds don’t show (killed a guy with a couple of shots close range, but no gun sound or muzzle flash) and I seemed unable to set off an enemy claymore last night when waiting for a game to start…
More bugs than I’ve seen in-game for ages, is this really the fix that they promised…? 🙄
Like the new map,but as always why only one uncap!! Give an uncap for each side and i think the game would even up.
The best thing though is my computer no longer crashes after almost every map. I’d always put this down to a problem on my side of things but ea may have actually fixed something 😯
Oh and the no vehicles should have an option for leaving the jeeps in. Played a no vehicle on Kark 64 player and its a damb long walk from the the back bases to the front 😕
Mind you on a sidenote the server that i was on had –
No cammander allowed
No C4
No sniper (mainly to rule out the use of claymores which gets my vote)
No capping of backflag (though people were often told to stop capping any flags 😕 )
No grenadesAs you can imagine the game was full of grenade spamming claymore laying c4’ing kids. Oh and there was still a commander 😕
Not a server i’d wantto try and admin 😀
No problems with the new patch so far. Server seems stable. No crashes while i’ve been on. Not seen the jeep bug either that legit was talking about but i aint really been looking for it.
