I’ve decided I’m officially safer by riding like a twat =/ Atleast when going at speed, the engine is whailing like a banshee so everyone can hear me coming, and when they see me up their arse in the mirror doing a lifesaver they know I’m going to overtake so they get the fuck out of the way. I’ll die on my bike, but atleast I’ll get to enjoy it this way before I go and when I do go it will be my fault.
I’m sick to death of doing the right thing at the right time and somehow always getting shafted by doing so =/

Well, you pay’s your money and you takes your choice. It’s false economy at best and a gamble at worst.
In your position 3rd party is actually a waste of time, other than to make you legal. What you are really saying is you don’t think a crash would ever be your fault, so you are not going to insure your own bike against damage caused by yourself. It’s fine to have confidence in your own abilities. However, other than to be legal, you are just giving £800 to the insurance company each year for something you will never ever claim on.
And you are still fucked if someone with no insurance screws you up.
And finally, given what you have said, if anyone needs fully comp, its you mate 😉
Anyway – genuinely sorry to hear about the crash. It’s a real pisser.

Nasty business Legit, it’s just fortunate that you managed to walk away from this one. I agree with Lenny on insurance, fully comp is the only way to go with the number of uninsured spastics driving around.

Why would some1 spend 2k on insurance on a bike thats probably only worth double that at most? I feel for you legit.
The state of insurance in this country is deplorable – its compulsory…. but it doesent look to me like there is much meaningfiul competition out there. Im looking for car insurance at the mo and I cant believe the shit I am hearing. Since I left they seem to have added in something called a compulsoy excess on top of your voluntary one. WTF?
I have NEVER claimed on an insurance policy in my life and I am getting told I need to cough up 4 or 5 hundred pounds to these corporate mother fuckers?

My theory on us Brits is that all of our ancestors with any spine either colonised North America or got transported to Oz. Things really sucked back then. The only people left were the ones who shrugged resignedly and said “musn’t grumble” a lot.

Slight problem – When I handed in my documents the driver is coming out with some kind of bullshit that I was driving on the wrong side and the road and not looking – roflmao…
To top it off, he is claiming he was alone in the car; but I’m sure (but I could be wrong) that he had a passenger.
Even funnier….
The crash was surrounded by people in the street … yet when the police asked for witnesses, no one saw a thing?? FFS there was some guy on his cameraphone taking pics and a guy who I was stood behind in the shop que before the crash was there too!!
He did have insurance, but still it’s looking like I’m going to get thoroughly shafted by his BS =/
