    unlucky m8

any insurance would have told him not to admit liability. Phoning you probably won’t impress yours or his insuranse. Just make a note of stuff like that in a diary.

At the end of the day if he hit you in the back he doesn’t have a case at all. I really can’t see any problems and i doubt his insurance company will even fight it. They are unlikely to contest an accident where their insured driver has driven into the the back of someone. If or more likely when they lose, the court charges are really quite large having been set up in this way in order to limit the number of claims that may be dragged out in court.

Just make sure you have visited a GP and made them aware of the immediate onset of your injuries and that no such neck problems existed prior to the accident. The damage to your car will prove everything else.

Maybe it is worth suing his ass after all. His phonecall sounds like harrassment and karmically sucks (maaan).

Make sure you get your doctor’s support. Even if you haven’t “got time” to see him, discuss your injury with him on the phone so it all gets recorded on your medical file. Don’t fanny about!

Sorry to here about that hippy 🙁

Seems to be the season for crashes starting up and dumb drivers everywhere!

My dad got was involved in an accident last week 🙁

hes 3rd in a line of cars driving along, the 1st car brakes abrubtly and turns right down a side road.

2nd car slams on brakes and stops in time.

my dads car slams on brakes and stops in time with inches to spare.

Now thinking few that was close, but then an almighty screeching sound and a load bang, a mazda has gone right into the back of my dad doing over 40MPH!

Dad gets out and goes to give this guy some abuse for not stopping! 1st thing this guy says “is it drivable?” (His bonnnet is bent in half and half the engine is lying at the side of the road!) apprently he was quite shocked.

Police werent interested as there’s no children involved and no one has been killed!

funny thing is both this guys and my dad’s cars are company cars with company insurance, so up to the companies to fight and sue each other lol.

Oh and the damage to my dads car? one of of the exhaust pipes bent , cracked bumper and the foldaway tow bar wont come out!

If you can always buy German!

When I was a nipper, my dad had a Mk1 Ford Transit like this: –

    .

We were driving along one afternoon and ended up behind one of those cars which is a small van. This guy in the car/van was driving to annoy; he’d speed up, my dad would speed up; then he’d brake for no reason so my dad would slow down. This went on for a while.

In the end, dad said, ‘Everybody brace, we’re going to crash’. The car accelerated, we accelerated, the car braked, we accelerated right up its arse.

Everyone except the car/van driver had a right good laugh cos his car had been shortened by 10″. The doors, which had popped open on impact, now overlapped their frames and could not close. My dad and I had a 5 mile walk to a scrap yard for a replacement radiator.

I remember another crash in that transit – this one was actually an accident proper. It happened when we in the Transit and a guy in a Merc tried to use the same cross-road simultaneously. The front corners of the vehicles met; the left front wheel on the Transit rode up onto the Merc’s wing/bonnet. Everyone got out for a look. After a couple of minutes, the Merc collapsed under the weight and dad was able to reverse off.

Another time, when I was 4yrs old, I all but drove that Transit into a canal. Great times, great times.

    Update: 😥 😥

Went to the garage to collect my car and they’ve made a complete balls up of the repairs 😥

Boot won’t shut properly. Different size gaps on either side of the bumper. A bit of the bumper missing FFS 👿

Wiring loom trailing across the boot floor instead of through the rear quarter. Sat nav laying in the boot not connected.

Fookin mechanics had a strop out when I showed the problems so the manager had to take em away and explain it was not wise to get the hump with the customer! (think they were polish)

Manager started saying it was the Toyota parts that were the problem until I explained that I have City & Guilds qualifications in both vehicle mechanics and welding and I wasn’t swallowing his bullshit

Left it in the hands of the insurer. I fookin knew I should ave took it to the main dealer

    Barstiches

And to top it all off the hire car people have said that I have to return the hire vehicle as it’s now the responsibilty of the garage to provide a car. They haven’t got one !

    Rant over….

This is really fookin wiv my christmas spirit – Bahh fookin humbug!

On a lighter note I hope you all have a great crimbo 😉

Sorry to hear that mate, you don’t need $hit like this at christmas, or any time for that matter.

I suggest that you get playing some 2142 on the Euro Forces side and knife any PAC engineers you come across without mercy. It won’t sort out your car, but at least you can imagine you’re getting your own back on those mechanics 😉

What a pain in the arse for you hippie. The madder you get, the more reasons you should find to make more money out of this.
Oh and that idiot that thinks he’s going to win an insurance fight because he shunted you will find that he’s going to be the one that gets shunted. At least the law is on your side 😉
PS Christmas is crap anyway. What a great excuse to write it off 😛

Mechanics can be real tossers when they want to be – I should know, I was engaged to one many years ago. Not long after we split up my mum took her wee car to him to get it welded, he set a spark set the petrol tank on fore and he fecking well exploded the car!

sorry to raise an old thread but the saga continues

Went down to get the car just after christmas and the bootlid looked like they’ve laid it on the top of the car!. half inch gap all round (that’s about 1.25 centimetres i think for all you young uns)

told them to get it fixed and some other bits 😥 😥

went down there yesterday as they said it was ready again and found they had managed to break a panel inside the boot, tear the boot seal, scratch the back windscreen and also a new scratch on the back door!!!

I was fooking fuming. now got an official complaint with the insurers and they have said that they will ensure all repairs are done and get it done by tuesday. Barstitches have had me car since 1st december 😥

Not the end of my problems 😥 Hire car has broken down so I’m waiting to get another one this afternoon 😥

Just hope this spell of bad luck will go away soon. Let off a bit of steam with Minti and E-space last night on the lash so it’s not all doom and gloom

EDIT: Hire company are sending me a Honda C-RV whatever that is.. happy days 😕 😕
