Participanti checked back on those details. The cpu is the standard one they do now on their overclocked range; either that or the i7 and also the DVD isn’t blue ray at all it’s just listed as DVD/blue ray. I could go for the standard CPU then in which case i could choose to have an ivybridge over a haswell.
The overclocked cpu’s are clocked up from 3.2ghz to 4.2ghz, would that give me noticeable gains? I imagine that having nigh on an extra 1ghz of cycles would help with certain tasks though not sure about gaming.
Hope you’re well doc. long time no chat. 🙂

that oc does make a big difference, some games will make more of it than others but you do notice the difference

ParticipantWell I’ve finally ordered my new PC and can’t wait to be back gaming again. Went for the overclocked i5 with 8gb of ram, GTX770 gfx, 240gb SSD and a 750w PSU to accommodate any future upgrades if I decide to go SLI/xfire. Bought it from PC specialist and hopefully should have it in a week or so.
I’m intending to buy rising storm but may hold off getting BF3 as four is due out in a few months. Is anyone else playing it and if so how do you find it?
