Tried out my new 300mm lens…. which on micro 4/3 has a *2 crop making it 600mm equivalent…. then used the sensor crop to make it another **2 to approx 1200mm equivalent.
That’s fantastic doc, must be nice to get dark skies where you live. Even in suburbia where i am there’s way too much light pollution to even attempt a shot like that.
I’d like to get a pic like that myself but i don’t think my zoom lens would be capable; it’s a 70-300 but with no image stabilisation built in so totally dependant on a rock solid tripod: currently have a cheap and cheerful one which is ok for what i need. How long did you run the exposure for ?
