i think we all knew where this thread was gonna end up.
i purposely kept out of commenting on this thread because i don’t really play BF2 anymore, i just can’t get on with it. i really feel EA games have let us down with this game ,what with it being buggy/unfinished/EA wanting to pull our trousers down and bend us over for new maps/add-on’s. but heres my 2p worth….
i’ve had over 2 years experiance playing with the 1st-BW guys ,and found them to be exactly our kinda lads, albeit messy did let the name down on more than a few occasions, but as a few of our guys have said he’s rectified his ways, to which you can’t say fairer than that. i think wolf’s pretty contraversial/agrressive stance wasn’t gonna get him anywhere and could have only turned out one way, i’m sorry to see him go, but as with everyone who backs themselves into this kind of a corner, well we have to respect his choice and let him go.
tbh, i think the “joke” of moving people from TS room to TS rrom is bang out of order. I’d rather of seen the TS channel made private than leave it open to this kind of abuse. I think it’s totally the opposite of what XDC stands for. i really don’t know what they were up too, as i haven’t really frequented TS much recently, but i’d have thought if they were really that much of a nuisence, a XDC member would have had no problem banning them from the TS channel.
Paddy has explained that he’s just finishing his finals and is looking forward to a real life, to which i wish him good luck and all the best, and perhaps when theres a game that doesn’t divide us quite so much, or he realises he doesn’t have much of a life after XDC ( 😛 ) then he’ll be back, and i’m sure we’ll welcome him back, after all some say there’s no leaving XDC ( although some seem to have managed pretty well).

Speaking of games which doesn’t divide us so much, everyone get rouge spear because ziggy, paddy, myself, and even dropkick alun have had some of the best games/laughs playing that over the last fortnight it really does put bf2 into perspective. Great games that bf series are, but they just don’t have the same “I don’t give a fuck” aura…….que paddy’s spell checker 😉

To be honest the idea of banning all the 1st BW guys for a week sounded like a fecking ridiculous idea to me from the start – talk about throwing weight around unnessesarily! If anything demonstrates an anti-XDC feeling I reckon that policy would! As Beer said – there was only one way for this thread to end…….. QED.

The very nature of these posts are their downfall – the laid back members dont post as they are so laid back they dont post much… Im sure Mr Paddy has far more support than is evident.
Ive downloaded Rogue Spear and am looking forward to some late night crazyness on it soon… hope Mr Paddy will join in… if not, I will miss your Teamspeak banter old boy as im owning on Call of Duty… 😆

Been watchin the thread these past few days and I did not want to post. As turks said earlier some of us are too laid back to get involved in such a debate however, I suddenly thought of a wonderful idea. Password/unranked the server at arranged times for two things
1: The Elite XDC league team can have a practice and learn tic tacs
2: Those of you that want to fuck around can fuck around with rockets/Jeeps/eachother (*Delete as appropiate*)On the BF2RS unranked servers we fuck around skydiving (got a wicked vid), Arranging mass explosions, 20 peeps on a jet over dalian plant etc etc. Minti’s got the full version of fraps so we get Vids too – Happy Days!
lol doc.. I’ll try that one .. albeit it I’ll just shout QED as its a bit of a mouthfull to remember 😀

A couple of weeks ago, wolf and I had a jolly old much around – both as special opps – one sits on wing of jump jet, and packs it with explosives – other hovers – with FF off, you can get some great air, and the plane fooking flys away when you hit fire 🙂
I’m not letting Wolf go anywhere , banning may have been a bit extreme. The way the game is set up it makes some people who may not ordinarily be jerks . Into right arseholes.I have no problem with the guys who want the trinkets playing on our server but as i have told Messy.If you are going for a badge etc. I would rather he not go for it on our server as it makes him appear an arse. He refuses an thus the conflict. When i need a badge to rank up etc. I go onto a different server so as not to twat any of the regulars on our server.I did move him around a few times(on ts ) ,IT WAS A JOKE! Now had i kicked him off ts i could see why he may be pissed off about it.

OK…I’m Paddy’s bro as you all know, but any of you that have heard us wibbling on on TS will also know we disagree more than we agree, so this isn’t a “defend my bro” knee jerk post. But I did introduce him to XDC many years ago so I feel a little bad he is leaving.Just wanted to say he has finals and is a little stressed, which may account for his rash decision and impulsive postings of late (reason, not excuse), but he has at least had the balls to bring up what to him was clearly a festering feeling of dissatisfaction with gamplay styles.
I actually agree with him to an extent, I have been away for years (but always considered my home to be XDC) and have noticed a marked difference in the gameplay style and attitude since Rogue Spear days. I don’t feel I have the right to talk about it as I have just got back, so I didn’t…I just got on with it…was a little miffed on Tuesday though as I bought Euro Forces last week to be in on the regular nights and the first time I go in it has been cancelled and my query as to why was met with deafening silence…(think my mic was too low maybe 😳 )..but I paid 9 euros for that, that’s at least 2 good glasses of top quality German Beer..come on guys!!
Anyway…the Rogue spear idea is a great one…I tried it with matt and Paddy a few times and it was a blast..plus we are all about the same level as we haven’t played in years, which means a lot more fun…COunt me in…
I think Paddy just felt sidelined as he was the only one voicing opinions he knew to be more widespread, which has been evidenced by the posts after he declared his intentions to leave..and he felt a bit of a lone wolf (sorry couldn’t resist)…not a nice situation to find yourself in no doubt, and he wasn’t feeling the love…
