    Anyone know if a socket 939 cooler (CNPS9500-LED) will fit an AM2 socket?

    also.. has something changed round here? 😳 (goes to look at other sections too see what hes missed)…

    if its specific to 939 and not 939/am2 i wldnt bet on it, although, you could probably modify it – would be cautious.

    try and find info on the fan you have. in most cases you should be ok but not without checking! from what I’ve seen so far the 939 housing is the same as the AM2 or at least pretty much looks like it

    looks like the am2 ones have 4 screws if you take off the standard am2 mounting plate, or use the clip like on all the older coolers.. whereas 939 has 2 screws.. so in short.. no.. its a new cooler for me 🙂
