January 12, 2008 at 3:36 pm #64294XDCiNSANEParticipantIt’s from an Xbox 360.. I happened to damage one by accident when fixing 3ROL issue.. I’ve notice a spare 10/100 network card I have in me drawer has one so i was going to remove and resolder to 360, I must admit I’m pretty shit hot at soldering 🙂
just wanted to know if any could be used to fix etc etc

lol @ random fix idea..
its prolly a resistor or sommat..so what are you trying to do to fix 3 red lights?
I opted to go with replacing the X brackets with 4mm bolts into the heatsinks to clamp the processor, mobo and case together.
Thus ensuring the processor has a good connection to the mobo.. has been working for about 6 months now.
(my mate gave me it becauses he is addicted to xbox and couldnt be assed to fix it or wait for send away type fix)January 16, 2008 at 5:35 pm #64297XDCiNSANEParticipantThats what I was doing.. fixed a few int past inc my own which has been working over 6 months now.. but I slipped when taking the annoying X-Cunty things off and damaged board.. but should be easy to fix that, then I can get on with the bolt malarky! 🙂

ahhh.. i see.. ok. well not 100% sure what that thing is.. perhaps try some xbox forums? one of the gurus will be able to tell you what it is just from a vague description and perhaps the smell of the thing 😆 😆
January 31, 2008 at 6:04 am #64299RecoilUKParticipantIts a surface mount diode.
It should have some markings on it somewhere to identify the value and thats what u need to match for a replacement.
Hope that helps.

C4N15
Still should have some markings on it though, but atleast you know now what it is.
