    Some of you chaps here are pretty clever.

    What’s the deal with buying a standard GFX card and a factory OC’ed one? I imagine that the factory OC’ed card will already be clocked as high as it can stably go, but will you be able to get similar performace by overclocking a standard one yourself?

    Just curious.

    with a normal card it is pot luck if it will over clock – with a pre-clocked card you know it will overclock and pay the extra 15 quid or whatever

    Ive just bought a GTX BFG overclocked from ebuyer 352. Cock speed 600mhz comp. to 575 and shadows is 1400 i think compared to 1375, so not a great deal but the card was cheaper then the XFX.

    Yes basicaly pot luck if it will overclock well or not. Same as with cpu’s.

    Plus if you overclock your own your warranty is gone.
