ParticipantSo the purpose of the beta has been entirely about testing the infrastructure?
Yeah, we just wanted to know it wouldn’t crash and burn at launch. It was horrible with Battlefield 1943 – it sold ten times the numbers we thought it would, and it was down for three or four days which is really bad. We don’t want to go through that again.no shit sherlock!!! It should tell you that WW2 is still a firm favourite amongst some old school gamers like myself!!
sort it out EA 👿

Participantain’t got the pc for it.
i like the BF gameplay formula which i guess is cartoony compared to RO – i played RO for a while but found the realism a bit much sometimes when i just wanted to come in from work, run’n’gun a little then switch out. With BF i always liked the idea of being able to fly a plane, drive a tank or jeep or jump on a ship and head off somewhere.
There was so much flak directed towards WW2 games way back then as there was a number of releases at the time such as medal of honour etc and peeps were moaning about the glut of WW2 games yet all we’ve seen for the past 5 or 6 years are modern warfare theatres which just don’t float my boat – i much preferred the natural balance of WW2 and the simplicity of that era regards weapons, planes etc.
I recently bought a mac mini as i fancied a change regards pc so my funds have gone on that, i did think about spending the cash on a new pc to play BF3 but felt i’d be better off just buying it on the xbox. I shall see how you guys find it in 6 months or so, just maybe a whisper of a new BF game may be doing the rounds by then and i’ll be in a better position to buy a half decent gaming rig.
