one of the “powerups” is the ability to see the enemy through walls!! 😯 guess if you play long enough you get to unlock the aim-bot powerup 🙁
I’m hoping its gonna be a fun game to play, the vids show potential but with 3rd person view, wall hacks given to you etc i’m beginning to feel nervous about it already!

I’m prepared to give it a go. It might not be as highbrow as 1942 but it certainly could be fun.
My mind remains open to the concept.I’ve been playing the new Sims 2 exp pack since the weekend, and this looks like it’ll be right up my street D:
fyi, Watched GAMER TV Extra yesterday, they mentioned BF Heroes.. they said it will be playable as 3rd person to start with, but will be FPS at a later date
This is all great and very nice of them etc to make a bf that is back in WW2 but they should really be focussing their time and attention on creating Battlefield 1942 Redux Or BFWW2 and bringing back the cammaraderie of the good old days with an updated and sexy system the FH chaps have shown that making a command system is do’able so why dont they stop fannying about and get on with it! heard rumoures about bf3 being a total sci fi fest …Pfffft that was 2142 🙄
rant overUnfortunatly ww2 isn’t seen as ‘cool’ atm by the media, i suppose BF1942 was on the back end of Saving Ryans Privates/ Band of Brothers ect. Atm contempory middle eastern terrorist type fps are what the corporations want to pump out because thats what we see on the news every night. Hell i installed Day of Defeat over christams but it looks shit these days, I do miss a good old ww2 shooter. 🙁
trouble is do we really want to be re-enacting what’s on the news every night? I think regardless of what Hollywood film they may ride on the back of there is a big enough market of WW2 fanboys to make it work. I’m sure if EA were Conscientious enough to ask the people who buy their games to put it to a vote that the WW2 genre would win it hands down
i’d love to see another WW2 based BF game but going by Ben Cousins comments on his blog (bottom of his blog just before the comments start……)
After all, the alternative would have meant that Battlefield Heroes was yet another realistic WW2-style shooter. How original would that have been?

i can’t see EA/Dice going down the WW2 route for some time, all things seem to point towards “modern conflict” for BF3 which i think gets very tiring very quickly simply because of the lack of theatres of war and the general inbalance you have in the real World with one side having every available weapon to hand and a no expenses spared mentality and the other using IED’s made out of fertaliser 🙄 ok, slightly simplistic but you get my point.
Thankfully for now we have FH2, i’ve not been able to play much recently but did enjoy the mod and i’m sure will enjoy the new theatre when it’s released.
