Reminds me of BF42 when it first came out. You could drop a nade at your feet and use it to launch you up to higher spots, it was brilliant on the Omaha map, left hand side of the cliff to get up onto the German area, it mean’t going into the dead zone but you weren’t in there long enough to die and it made capping the rear base so much easier. I think it got sorted in the first or second patch.
I don’t think i’ll be playing this unless i get it on Xbox but even then, i’ve hod my one nearly a year and still can’t use the controller. Anyone know if there’s a hack that allows you to connect up a keyboard and mouse to the xbox? 🙂

Yes its called a “man” box and usually contains a pc. Xbox chuffer!

Not sure if its the same today though plus getting a space on a server is a pain in the arse
There still seems to be alot of work to do on he game. Quite a few bugs/glitches and some kills/deaths seen random.
Metro map isn’t up to much either

metro map is for made worse by the fact that its rush mode not conquest. but once all the maps are out think it may make a nice change of pace.
as for the bugs, i have had some odd ones but nothing that for me has had any negative impact upon the game.
one thing i found whilst trawling the BF3 forums regarding squads.
“Yes” to the following squad features for BF3:
– Integrated Squads
– Squad Leaders (SL)
– Name the Squad
– Toggle “VoIP encouraged” within the squad
– Toggle language used in squad (French, Russian, Spanish)
– Toggle the function of the squad

– SL issue orders with Commo Rose & big map interface

If they could fix the sinking into the ground glitch that wuld be nice 🙂

Some suspect stuff going on too! LOL I literally unloaded a clip and a half in to someone at face to face distance, he wasnt even shooting! He looked at me, click click dead!
im not sure if its the servers being overloaded or just poor net code but there are some issues with “lag”
quite a few irritating issues though, but im sure they will fix them over time with patches
Most irritating for me is not being able to remap properly 🙁 I died a few times while trying to remap via escape menu (for some reason you can’t do this unless you spawn first?) but it doesn’t recognise some of the keys on the right hand side of the keyboard oddly, so I’ll just have to make do getting my fingers tied in knots by the default settings. I also hate rush.
On a brighter note, the game looks fantastic and runs at ultra for me, which I was worried about when a recent comment suggested you needed dual gfx cards for that. You don’t 🙂
Oh and just to add it needs in game squad control – why it doesn’t have it is beyond me 🙁
On the plus side i have my noob tube so I’m happy now 😀 Mind the smoke grenades are fun to.
