So when I built my last PC I intentially picked out a BFG graphics card as I’ve read on many forums their excellent warrenty and no quibble RMA process. I have not had this experience as my graphics card has been faulty for 3 months now and considering I dropped £400 on the card I expected prompt service. Not so, it’s just been a pain dealing with them. They asked me to flash the bios on my motherboard to fix an issue. They didn’t seem to understand that the card had worked for a year with the bios I was using and that I fix computers for a living and am quite capable of diagnosing a fault. This of course didn’t fix it, It just reset all my overclock settings for no gain.
Eventually they have set up an RMA so I’ll be sending my graphics card off soon for repair or replacement meaning I won’t be gaming for a few weeks. Think I’ll go with EVGA next time, perhaps they are less of a pain.

thats a bit shit, a friend had to send back his BFG card and from the point he contacted them to getting a new one delivered it was a week. i dont know if they have changed their RMA process but you seem to be having a nightmare.
hope you get it sorted soon
August 17, 2010 at 3:45 pm #76920bmstalkerParticipantJust got an e-mail back, no longer getting RMA on my £400 card as BFG went into liquidation. Fuck.
August 17, 2010 at 4:27 pm #7692111thSignalParticipantbummer, sorry to hear that mate. Anyway your contract is with the person you bought the card off not with BFG, It’s up to the supplier to fix/replace you card now! As above whoever you bought the card off (hopefully not BFG direct) is liable to replace/fix your card not BFG. Although as you have mentioned the card is oevr a year old you might have trouble with that, someone more knowledgeble will have to advise.

August 18, 2010 at 11:36 pm #76923xdc_queekerParticipantI have a BFG card that has been replaced several times and they even upgraded it for free . All i had to pay for was the shipping one way . Sorry you’re having problems , and even more sad they are going under 🙁
August 20, 2010 at 3:14 pm #76924bmstalkerParticipantYeah, sucks. I contact the vendor in the first instance and they said initially that since it was more than 12 months old, I need to contact the manufacturer. It still works to an extent, it’s the most bizarre error I’ve ever seen. I switch the machine on and when I try to log into windows, it crashes. I do a hard reset and when I get to the windows login screen, I can log in fine. Then When I run my first game, it crashes. A hard reset will let me then boot into windows and then play a game. As long as I keep the PC switched on, it will never crash again. I would keep the PC on but the bloody PSU is like a hair dryer so I’d rather not. Just need to suck it up and live with it til I can purchase a shiny 5970
