Bro was riding home on his crusier tonight when a motorist did not see him as he turned right in to a mini roundabout (its a lit area and he had his lights on), a driver going straight across, failed to see him and he was knocked off his bike and basically went a little under the front of the car!! 🙁
Thank the heavens, he was left unhurt, except some minor damage to his bike, but its moments like that, you realise how precious life is and how easy it could be taken away!
November 28, 2007 at 10:52 pm #62798nOmParticipantglad hes ok max

November 28, 2007 at 10:54 pm #62799XDC_WolfParticipantJeez, hope he’s ok. It can be a bit of an eye opener.
November 28, 2007 at 11:00 pm #62800XDCViperGraParticipantWhen your on the road, you just have to think that everyone else is an idiot. Glad he’s OK.
November 28, 2007 at 11:23 pm #62801LensmanParticipantWhat Max has missed out of the story is that he was the motorist! 🙂
Just kidding. Glad he’s ok.
November 28, 2007 at 11:38 pm #62802TurksMeisterParticipantGlad hes ok mate
November 28, 2007 at 11:47 pm #62803XDC DutchmanParticipantYep, glad to hear he’s okay. Maybe it’s time he passed his driver’s license and got a car, sure someone will be selling a lotus soon he could have for a knock down deal

Lol, coming from SA it’s even easier than that as there most other vehicles are unlicensed minibus taxi drivers who will mow you down from the other side if you are crossing a green traffic light.
It’s just hard to describe unless you’ve been there, closest I can come is that they’re like Legit but in charge of non roadworthy rusty falling apart death buses instead of a motorbikeNovember 29, 2007 at 12:00 am #62804AlzirKeymasterphew glad he’s ok, sounds like it could’ve been a lot worse.

I loved ’em.
Didn’t see them outside Cape Town much though
November 29, 2007 at 7:31 am #62806XDCiNSANEParticipantGlad he’s ok!
November 29, 2007 at 7:44 am #62807tessParticipantAwww, I bet that was really scary, I hate motorbikes, they really don;t offer any protection. I’m glad he’s ok
November 29, 2007 at 8:33 am #62808xdc magickerParticipantyikes – i got knocked into a roundabout once – decided that cars were the way ahead at that point
glad he is ok
November 29, 2007 at 9:24 am #62809WipersParticipantA lucky escape by the sounds of it. 😯
By any chance was the guy driving the car small, bald and talking with a squeaky rochdale accent ?
just a thought…
November 29, 2007 at 9:42 am #62810RyzoParticipantHey all! Cheers bro, preciate the help last night and following home to make sure bike + myself were alright! again, thanks!!
Im doing well, little bit shook up, luckily, bike came off worse than i did as i managed to get off the thing before i went under with it – will sort it out with insurance today, although i should of been clearly visible with lights on + lighted area, i think its best to now take a high vis jacket out with me, as its going to allow me to be seen better! In no way has it stopped me wanting to drive a bike, but i think im deffintly going to be more wary of other road users (more so than i already am) – im taking my test soon (hopefully december), so wish me luck all! and preciate all the kind words! 🙂 I was only a bit shook up! other than that, im good and will be COD 4 ‘ing before u know it 😛 😆
November 29, 2007 at 9:51 am #62811VicJamesonParticipantThe key to not being knocked off a motorbike is to ride at 70mph at all times apparently. 🙄
Good to hear you’re okay though Ryzo, must have been rather scary.
