    Im after some kind advice from you bug experts! Im about to buy a beetle again, and wouldl ike to know what main parts of a beetle, when buying one, to look out for or ask about? I had one years ago, but got stung and hopefully now I will go in to this a little wiser.

    I know that the gutter, heat exchangers and heat sills are pretty major things but your help would be cool.

    Im not sure whether to spend £1500-2000 on a decent bug or buy one thats half decent and restore it over time? I have been looking on the Heritage website about costs of parts.

    I currently am watching some bugs on ebay and if anyone has any spare time to cast there eyes over them to give me their opinion, that would be helpful.

    check all the usual bits but pay attention to the subframe. If that rotten leave well alone

    Why not buy the back half of a beetle and trike it !!

    I have a 65 bug in my garage, needs her front
    wings replacing, but i love her!

    I will dig out my books tonight and let ya know.
    Its not a long list, but as you know, its an important one!
