i fucking love XDC.
i cherish the tags.
its played far more of an important role in building who i am than it should have done……i dont really know why…..its just the whole ethos of ‘playing with a group of friends who dont take it all too seriously’ i think.
but XDC is boss…and whilst we arent all together playing like the glory days of 1942……i still fucking love this place.

I am working a lot, 2 kids, doing a shed load of training, just not playing games lately – so don’t take it personally.
Good to catch up – maybe Battlefield v would be worth a punt?
i think my FPS days are over……they are so realistic and so fast paced now……i just cant keep pace with em…..i can barely work out where it was i got shot from……even when the camera shows a replay.
the other thing…..that tipped me over the edge……was when the games started collecting the stats……constantly fighting to get into a positive kill death ratio proved to be too problematic for my OCD’s.
it messes up my chi being killed more times than i kill.
all i play these days is slow paced chill games……cities skylines…..jurrasic world…..shit like that.
BF5 is tempting……its WW2……its the game i’ve been calling for since BFV.
but theyre just too realistic and too fast paced for my ageing reactions…….ill end up watching it on twitch and getting my fix that way……..which is bizarrely as enjoyable as actually playing for me.
We should start up a league for old dudes who are slow and dont care about stats.
Most mediocre player wins.
never cared about stats but still love gaming even though i seem to die a lot more nowadays!!
