Was happily working away, and my computer buzzes with a message saying “Hi there”… Intriguied, I click on “go to” and am taken to a website with a load of videos on it – called “Mobile tube”… stupidly I clicked on one of the video icons, and get some message saying download failed – I close it all down and thing nothing of it.
Ive just recieved a message saying “Mobile Tube: Thanks for downloading the video clip. Share it for FREE via bluetooth or MMS! In case of any problem, call 08706091720. 150p/vid”.
Ive looked up the number, and there seems to be a shit load of (equally stupid!) people who are having problems with these people – getting £20/month charged to their accounts… I dont want to call the premium rate number, and I dont want to recieve any more of these gay texts… what should I do?!
May 19, 2007 at 1:11 pm #51655TurksMeisterParticipantI have found out it is a group called VENISTA doing it, and they have been fined in the past for fucking over people! Grrrrr
May 19, 2007 at 4:39 pm #51656dodgeParticipantIm taking this is your phone and not your computer. Phone your network provider and explain to them what has happend. My nephew had a similar problem and orange either sorted it themselves or told him how to stop it.

May 19, 2007 at 8:38 pm #51659TurksMeisterParticipantThey will do shit if they want to keep my custom! they keep trying to get me to sign on with them for another year, but I have found a better deal elsewhere!
Will go to CPW tomorrow and see what they say.
May 20, 2007 at 7:41 am #51660RyzoParticipantYeah used to get that crap from this company before, drained my funds until i mentioned it to my provider. Best move.
May 20, 2007 at 9:14 am #51661LensmanParticipantI don’t understand how something coming up on your PC means your mobile phone gets charged? Surely you are having to conciously do something that results in being charged money?
😕May 20, 2007 at 9:42 am #51662TurksMeisterParticipantIt was all on my phone
