Good Night and Good Luck

This is a well acted, well directed film with some well known faces in which nothing much happens. I get the impression it’s a bit like all those ‘rockumentaries’ that you hear on Radio 2 about how somebody you’ve never heard of ‘changed the face of music’, but it’s more speculation than hard fact, a bit like this.

A simple car chase, an explosion or an underwater knife fight in a tank full of sharks could have saved this film. But such scenes were omitted.

If you are a clever, arty type who thinks that black and white films are better than colour ones, then check this out.

Although if you’re not a massive bender, I’d give it a miss.
