Hey guys, just wondering if any of you have one… a good friend of mine is leaving to Africa for 5 months, and wants to get Shrek 1 and 2 put on hers.

Does it come with a program to encode DVDs with? or do you have to buy them especially?

    Say it plays:

H.264 video, up to 1.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per sec., Baseline Low-Complexity Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48 kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; H.264 video, up to 768 Kbps, 320 by 240 pixels, 30 frames per sec., Baseline Profile up to Level 1.3 with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48 kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; MPEG-4 video, up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per sec., Simple Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48 kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats

I presume that it wont play an avi file then – if I downloaded the movie (I own it, just easier this way!) – will I be able to vonvert it to a format that would work?

    Cheers

There are all kinds of freeware programs that convert AVI or whatever to the right format

After conversion you can drag it into your iTunes and sync the PoD
