Having finally got my win 8.1 problem sorted I now have another issue.
I’m trying to fire up BF4 and have a quick game but everytime i’m clicking on a server it’s asking me to:
Download and install the latest Browser Plugin to play the game.
I’ve clicked on the link, saved it and ran it a few times now but nothing!! I can’t get into the bloody game.
Any ideas?
November 3, 2013 at 3:54 pm #85788XDC wild egg tamerParticipantAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD WHY CAN’T THIS SIMPLE APPLET RUN OK? ALL I WANT TO DO IS HAVE A GAME OF BF4 TO CHILL OUT AT THE END OF A MANIC WEEK.
I’VE TRIED NUMEROUS TIME TO DOWNLOAD THE DAMN THING AND RUN IT YET IT SHOWS THE PROGRESS BAR RUN GREEN UP TO 100% AND THEN NOTHING; NADA;ZILCH! NO INSTRUCTIONS ON WHAT TO DO NEXT AND WHEN I TRY AND ENTER A GAME IT TELLS ME TO UPDATE MY PLUGIN.
I’VE TRIED YOU WORTHLESS TECHINCAL PIECE OF PARALYSED PISS! I’VE TRIED AND TRIED AND TRIED.
sorry for the rant but this is just plain nuts. I’m off out for a beer and some grub, i’m beaten……….for now 😈
November 3, 2013 at 4:35 pm #85789Beer_MonsterParticipanti think you download it and open it in your browser download file?
November 3, 2013 at 6:04 pm #85790Gary GoatParticipantI had a similar problem installing the plugin. Didnt seem to do anything after the install but restarting my browser sorted it. If that doesn’t work then try a different browser as the plugins are browser specific and it might just be an issue with that one.
November 3, 2013 at 8:01 pm #85791xdc the docParticipantGarry is right.
Pressing the continue button NEVER WORKS. Never did in BF3 and didn’t in BF4 last night.
Honestly! 👿 👿 👿
What you need to do is close the browser and origin. Load Origin… and let it open a new browser window.,
November 3, 2013 at 8:28 pm #85792XDC wild egg tamerParticipantok, closed down origin (should I also log out?) and closed down the browser. how do I get origin to open a new browser window?
November 3, 2013 at 8:30 pm #85793xdc the docParticipantJust load origin and press play on your BF4 icon … it will open battlelog for you.
EA are bastards.
Game does look mint though – had a quick game last night and today 🙂

Yup, silly me for thinking that internet explorer would actually work properly now.
November 4, 2013 at 7:41 am #85797OccaParticipant😆 have been a fox abuser for ages no probs what so ever in here.
November 4, 2013 at 10:09 am #85798xdc the docParticipantI use chrome WET – the problem with battlelog updates is there every time a new file needs uploaded…
