ParticipantI’m glad you called her the GF first, before just Sam at least, well you have been away for a while
Anyhoos.. I cant stand em, but seen an advert for PC World *shudder* for a tiny lil notebook (or whatever there hip name for a laptop is) for £199.. didnt see the spec but it looked rather small and it was the price you said.. I reckon you could get similar (better) online though, also you can get em free with broadband packages, but your impatient and already got yours.. didnt you , huh huh! *prod*

ParticipantNetbooks are the small ones. You can pick half decent ones up in most places for under £200. Will give you net access and even play some older games just fine. Nice and small, but they dont have a CD/DVD drive of any kind.

It is one of the more expensive ones in its class though, plenty of decent cheaper ones around if you dont want to spend that much though.

re hub Q… why dont you hook it up to your Broadband router (that I assume you got from whoever you signed up to) or get the wireless netwok adapter (although when I bought one it wasnt compatible with my router :/ )

Participantits due to itunes and no cd drive, i could get an external but that brings the price up to around that of a cheap lap top. we were told that itunes might run like shit on a net book as well.

ParticipantWell I bought a Samsung NC10 Netbook for xmas, I would install itunes but I dont want that software anywhere near it tbh lol. I see no reason why it wouldn’t run it mind you.. does itunes need more than a 1.6GHz cpu and more than 1GB RAM?
<3 my NC10, plays older games quite well too.
