Just got round to watching this and have to say I really enjoyed it. Something half decent from the BBC makes a change. Mind you compared to spanish TV any brit TV should be up for an oscar! 🙄

just noticed they are going to make another one Miami Vice stylie with the impeccable DC Gene Hunt

Yea really liked this, but TVNZ showed all but the last few shows in order to make way for dancing with the stars….ffs. We’ll probably get the rest when they’ve run out of 2 bob reality shows. They do that way too much.

This was an awesome series! My wife liked it so much that when the titles started and John Simms says “My name is Sam Tyler. I had an accident, and I woke up in 1973. Am I mad, in a coma, or back in time? Whatever’s happened, it’s like I’ve landed on a different planet. Now, maybe if I can work out the reason, I can get home.”, she’d start giggling excitedly. My god she’s mad.

Every episode of this was a winner, although I’m not so sure about the next series as it’s a female DCI (who’s a single mum) who goes back in time. I liked the Gene Hunt/Sam Tyler dynamic, but I think grrrl power might rear it’s predictable head in the next series. But we’ll see.

    Still gonna watch it though.
