ParticipantOk guys I need some more techie info while you are thinking about helping me with my computer hardware issues.
What mobile phone is cool at the mo? Am I right in thinking you can get phones that function as GPS systems as well? Where should I buy from???
Any help gratefully received.

ParticipantThx Wet – but 30 quid a month? Fuck sake that adds up to a lot over a year.
Is there such a thing as a pay as you go phone… that works as a good sat nav without any hidden costs?
I sse a lot about this tom tom thing but Im buggered if I know how it works.
Would I be better getting a pocket PC/PDA phone thing? Im sure a few of you guys have such devices – tell me about your experience!

ParticipantI have a Nokia N80.. I have a GPS reciever I bought on ebay from Japan.. I use a cracked version of Tom Tom Mobile.. it works perfectly! 😀
Pay as you go phones are a lil limited, you have to pay through the roof for a decent one normally

Participantlol Phones Free on Contract mate which is what I am on 🙂
oh piss, I gave the wrong model, I have the N70 not the N80.. the N80 is the one I wanted but I’ve been put off as the firmware on it is toss.. it crashes more than a test dummy.. both are Free on contract though.. The N70 is a great phone.. just dont go with “3” major disconnects and useless none english speaking Customer Services!
Yeah tomtom will work on any Symbian SmartPhone..
Have a look here.. its a really good website
Has pretty much every phone made on it, but beware, some phones are not available in uk etc etc

ParticipantI’ve just bought a Motorola W220 phone, no frills buts looks cool. An excellent phone if you simply just want to make calls or go on to the internet. 😀
