This is now bugging me, how the hell do you do it ?

[/url] is what I want to do, but I keep getting a white back ground, not transparant so you can see the pic underneath on the main page any ideas ?

    AFAIK gifs cant handle transparency.

Try saving it as a .png instead 🙂

save as gif or png – on the right click on the transparent pallet square and set it to your background colour (probably white)

not used photoshop but by how Andy describes it, its similar to paint shop pro; set colour transparency to the background colour but be sure that your main pic doesn’t have the same colour in it or else parts of your main image will vanish…….i know it works with GIF’s, not tried PNG’s but i may try that out sometime.

    *edit.

Just had a messabout and made a transparent image with my name……….works in both png and gif.
