Bit late but thought I’d had my 50cent.

Really enjoyed this, a good crack. I mean honestly, what more can you want from a film than a women with a gun for a leg? Good to see Sayed finally got off the island although I think it’s caused him to go a bit funny as he’s got a strange collection he keeps now. There’s Bruce ‘Die Hard’ Wilis, having finally taken out Hans Gruger, he must have been promoted as he’s now in charge of a group of commondos.

Finally, am I the only one who now wants to see a full lengh version of ‘Machete’? I was creasin’ up watching that.

Can someone exaplain to me though is this film in two parts or what? I thought there was another part called Grindhouse or something?

Having watched several films similar to ‘Planet Terror’ (only they were trying to be serious) I must say that this film delivers the goods. I liked the fact that everyone treats Ray with contempt, then after the missing reel they’re calling him ‘El Ray’ and treating him like he’s the best thing since sliced bread.

Mental action sequences, particularly Rose McGowan with her M4/203 leg, or Ray’s knife fight through the hospital.

Good laugh, but probably not one for the ladies.

*Erratic. Planet Terror and Death Proof are two films made in the ‘grindhouse’ tradition and marketed together as a homage to the old drive in movies of the late 70’s early 80’s. I think in the UK they would have been referred to as ‘video nasties’. Traditionally these movies would be taken from town to town and shown as a double or triple bill for one week. Some of the reels would wear out so often the films would suddenly jump forwards missing loads of plot (not that these films had much plot).

Watched this a few times – good flick. Thought deathproof was rather wank though
