Right..Played 4 games of the beta:
1. This is hard…way more tactical than I thought, quite a few options/gadgets that really change the way you have to play….
2. This is a team game. Probably more than any other I have played…you plan and execute as a team and you have a big advantage. At least I would have, if I had a real team…
3. This is intense…planning, breaching, clearing…it’s very tense..especially if you are last man standing…
4. The routes to success seem pretty varied…abseil off roofs and breach through windows..go through skylights and rappel down stairwells, c4 barricades, flashbang etc. etc.Definitely need to give this some time…a pretty steep learning curve and I spent first 2 games dying every round…finally got a kill third game, but this sure isn’t a gung ho shooter. I have a feeling some of us are going to really like this, colour me positively surprised…
Anyone else giving the beta a go?
It sounded really good when you were talking about it last night so yea looking forward to trying but my key still isn’t working and no reply to my ticket yet either.
I just got a second email through from them today with a working key. Any yea John, it works through uplay, but I needed to first use a key provided by nvidia on an activation website, which then prompted an email with another key in it, which works via uplay.
i have to reisntall uplay as i havent got round to it since installing a new SSD for my OS drive. having too much fun atm playing MGS 5
hahaaa, if it sounded good when I was drunk, it can’t be half bad…
I’m looking forward to getting a decent team together with coms, it’s hard when the teams aren’t communicating.
Still loving it, although the menu system is a bit janky, and the matchmaking seems quite buggy
Well it was more the persistence of saying the same thing 5 or 6 times, but yea I got the message that you liked it and saw potential for us ;). I do have two big problems ATM, one Alex has pointed me in the direction of some twitch streams, which I’ve yet to watch but he thinks it’s not all it’s cracked up to be, though with Alex liking “Elven fairy warriors XVI” that is probably little to go on. I also have a lot of new people to meet, including a pretty hot new housemate so my availability during beta is going to be limited. I also played some solo ps2 last night and omg I’ve missed that game. Took on an 8 man squad by myaelf, who were using maxes, spotting vehicles and all sorts of shit in Connery, and I was still getting the best of them. Good times 🙂

had a crack at R6 last night, just the one versus the AI. i can see this being really fun and requiring a good amount of teamwork

Yeah need proof of either the hot new housemate (pics) or of taking on 8 maxes solo (video).
