God That brings back a lot of fond memories.
Did so much with BF1942. I really miss it to be honest.
I could quite easily play it again. but to many think BF2 and BF2142 are better.
But sorry that intro theme and sequence just blows them out of the water 🙂
I am up for playing this again easily, used to play it for 8 hours straight into the early hours 🙂
agree mugworth, i remember playing that game from when i got in from work right through to 4 or 5 in the morning some friday nights! I used to actually dream about the game ffs, and its not rose tinted thinking, i genuinely enjoyed 42 more than any other BF game since.
I had some great games just messing around with dropkick where i’d be flying and he would be in the apc thing shooting up at me just before i’d drop a bomb on his nut!!! totally awesome.Who remembers morgaine ? awesome pilot and a real babe apparently though i never had it confirmed!
ok, just installed BF1942!!! jeez how graphics can change in 4 years!!! only had a chance to play single player on Omaha against bots………never remember those bots being so good at shooting! still, was fun but would prefer to play against you guys so can anyone tell me what patch i need to get to get my game up to date ?

Felt kinda sad really, kinda like visiting an old family home and it was all run down! I still managed to log in with my name which was a real surprise, had a look around for some old BF42 files but couldn’t find anything…….can’t believe that was the same place a lot of us got together for the first time………..it certainly was a great place at the time……

I have ’42 sat on my desk and was wonderin’ about putting it on just the other day.
I prolly still have all the patches on CD and could make them available if they’re not downloadable elsewhere.
