Replying to posts often crashes

Quite often when replying to posts I get the following:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 1245184 bytes) in /usr/local/www/xdcuk.co.uk/public_html/forums/includes/utf/data/utf_nfkc_qc.php on line 2

Resubmitting doesn’t seem to fix it.

100% repeatable at the moment on the LCD TV thread in the tech support forum.

not seen the issue.. noticed it was slow for a bit, but seems ok now… unless Ryzo posts then its slow as his siggy is slow and I dont think I’ve mentioned the word slow for a bit so i’ll say slow again.. slow!

ahh.. so it seems the deadly pound sign is the culprit.. should be fairly easy to find that little chestnut!
i wonder if quotes will help… nope..
