Right I have installed a shout box – it is still an eary dev so expect a few bugs / errors but it seems mostly functional – it looks and works better in prosilver but does work in subsilver (mostly)
post any bugs as usual (preferable with attached screen shots)
Is it not possible to have the shout box on any page you open ?
Or is that the plan after the bugs have been found ?i’m liking the shoutbox but heres the problem for me………
I prefer the sub silver skin as it has the same layout as our other forum with the name on the left as well as the pic and the thread underneath, with pro silver it seems to put all that over the right side so its awkward to see who’s posted what………now the shoutbox looks fine and work ok with this skin however with the sub silver skin the shoutbox is all over the place but i guess that shall be sorted out.

I thought subsilver was the default, and it’s not all over the place on my screen. Could it be resolution causing your problem?
Could always put a shoutbox on your website as opposed to the forums if its causing you problems, wouldn’t be that hard to set up unless you have a limited amount of databases or something.
the default skin for phpbb 3 is prosilver and hence modders are working on that as a priority.
i saw the problems with the subsilver skin on my screen but it went away and all looks fine on both skins now – weird. it is working fine in IE and firefox in various resolutions – so not sure why some people are seeing it jumbled up
no one looks at the front page so it seemed daft putting it there as most people come the index of the board directly
this is an alpha shout box so expect it to improve as new versions are released.
my view of the forums on prosilver………
as you can see all the info regards who is who is over to the right, which whilst is no big deal its kinda awkward to use.
shall change my theme to the subsilver and take a screenie of how the shout box looks.

the forums are ok now but the shoutbox is all over the shop.
