    I’ve been getting lag spikes while playing CoD4.

    There just seems no reason for it though, my ping is always around 30-40 on the servers I play on. It seems to happen on all servers.

    I have a pretty decent computer, it can play Crysis on high graphics quiet happily, so it shouldn’t be FPS lag. Although my FPS does drop from 90 to around 40+ when these spikes occur, but thats not really very low anyway…
    I’ve tried dropping my graphics settings down and the problem still persists.

    Anyone know of any other reason I might be getting these spikes?

    Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5600+, MMX, 3DNow (2 CPUs), ~2.8GHz
    Memory: 3070MB RAM
    Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GTS

    Kippo, your not the only one experiencing this issue, it seems to be widespread, especially on our server. 🙁
