Participantok, now i know most of you peeps are techies and management types who dislike the very idea of socialising with a London taxi driving type ๐ but i’m wondering if any of you know anyone who is a licensed London taxi driver who is looking to rent a taxi ?
I’m looking to buy a new cab and go into the rental market by renting out my current cab, though if they are interested and willing to pay i’d be happy to keep my cab and rent out the new one.
Rates are as follows:-
my current cab is an S reg TX1 silver (air-con, cloth seats carpet on floor), its had the emissions convertion so is Euro 3 compliant (don’t get me started on this bulls**t topic) and has done 155,000 miles approx. Rental for a week would be รฦรโรยขรขโยฌร ยกรฦรขโฌลกรโรยฃ200 but am willing to negotiate and that covers the vehicle, servicing costs, overhaul costs, any repairs, insurance. AA cover. The driver would obviously be liable for any penalty charge notices, and points/fines accrued from camera enforcement. Back up in case of breakdown or while the cab is in overhaul would be provided by me and it would either be the loan of my cab for the period off road or else i’d get a cab on loan form a garage until my cab is back on the road.
The new cab i’m thinking of buying is the TX4 silver model (spec similar to above), it would have approx 1000 miles on the clock and the rental for that would be รฦรโรยขรขโยฌร ยกรฦรขโฌลกรโรยฃ240 a week, again same service provided as above.
Both cabs will carry livery (currently a fetching pink on the TX1 advertising T-mobile but due to change in the next 2 to 3 months) though if the driver wishes to go on a radio circuit i may be willing to forgo the livery for a commitment to rent for a year or so.
Any other questions, feel free to ask.

ParticipantI’d love to become a cabbie mate, but I feel that I might be too opinionated and prone to argue so well that it may completely change the passengers outlook on life ๐
Archbishop of Cantebury: “Actually god loves everyone. We are his children and his love for us in unconditional.”
Neon the Cabbie: “Yeah, well if god loves us, he’s got a funny way of showing it.”
Archbishop of Cantebury: “Good point! I’ve been wasting my fucking life! Stop the cab now! I’m going to have sex with an underage rent boy.”
Neon the Cabbie: “Cor! Blimey! Don’t get me started on that…”
etc.
