We’re 1-4 already..err doh.i recomend that the ultimate winner of the first inaugral XDC league title……gets to choose the ‘any’ option when we go online on ‘be a pro’
im not having a dig at anyone in anyway…..all im saying is if we are going to have any success online, you need your best fifa player controlling the ‘any’ option.
for that reason you can count me out of ever going ‘any’ im too weak in the tackle….dogy knees ya see !

Glad we finally got to kick it off! Good call that you can play the matches providing there is at least 3 of you. I also like how it tracks some of your stats as I’m a bit of a whore for them. Dear gawd, Sprog’s is our top scorer! 😉
I won’t be around till Monday as I’m currently hurtling along at over 100mph on my way to Milton Keynes (high speed net on the train rocks).

Nothing wrong with an interest in your own stats imho. It’s only when people go out of their way to artificially maniuplate them, that I consider it whoring.

well….what can i say ??
after a promising 3-2 89th minute winning start tonight……the ringers absolutely fuckin fell apart ending with an 8-1 tonking at the hands of some online muppetts !
probably some prepubescent teenagers no doubt !!
we had sick of it all, lammie,space myself…..and our supposed secret weapon hornet danny fighting it out to grab some respectability…..but alas im afraid to report it all went to pot !!
our ‘pro’ footballers all seem to have concrete in their boots compared to the nippy skillful opponents we keep coming up against…..while these cunts are performing all their tricks including one dood with a white afro doing keepy ups in the middle of the park…….our boys representing XDC seem to be wallowing in quicksand !
our record stands at won 2 drawn 1 lost………………….. 9 !!!
all that said…..in the last game i had tears running down my face as as my defender fell over his own onrushing keeper as they slammed in the eighth !
basically its been decided amongst us playing together that i am a liability at the back and i was told to to stay up front…..another drawback is that as a striker i cant really score any goals either ! not a good fuggin combo really !!
my main contribution was getting sent off in the 8-1 dicking which allowed me to go as ‘any’ player on the field and as i described much laughs were had as i fumbled my way around around letting our oppo’s score at will including 1 screamer form 45 yards out into the top corner !
giraffe fc (the team we beat first game) will be having sleepless nights when they realise who turned them over……but in true XDC fashion…..the laughs were long and hard…..and im nowhere near finished with this game yet…..would be great if sick of it all can get his connection sorted……and possibly maybe get a decent striker up front !! someone to bag a few goals !
mind you it could be worse…..lammie was dropped to the bench for running off to answer the phone continually……we gave him a broom and told him to sweep up the dressing rooms 😆

I was up for some, but other half came round so couldnt get on, I’m not the best in the world but can score, so much so I changed my pro a week or two ago to ST instead of CAM.. much prefer it, I cant pull off the skillz, but not too shoddy at scoring the old fashioned way and thats against the OTT AI which is harder than playing against humans I say, I still need some practice but I’ll deffo be on later for a game if you’re on. I think its about time I made my debut after the ammount of transfer fee it cost muahahaha
p.s. I’m pretty much the same as sprog, shit in defence (as you and space have witnessed) so better stay up the field..

p.s – Sprog, These players who were all over you, were there characters about 2 ft tall and skinny as feck by any chance?
I only got to play in about 4 games and aside from the last one where we lost about 5-0 we were narrowly beaten in the rest. It’s not as bad as Sprog makes out. Even in the 5-0 we hit the post/bar about 3 times.
Way I see it, the main problem is that we play teams whose “Virtual Pros” are levelled up (for want of a better term) more than ours. So they’re just hitting through balls past us and our crappy default defenders get skinned everytime.
We can’t pull that same trick. Last night we had a default striker on the pitch that must have come from Bradford City and smoked 200 a day – he couldn’t run more than a mile an hour.
Best bet is to go into custom tactics and drop off the defence to plug the space and stick our quickest two players up front.
Lastly, we all need to get on at the same time if poss, even a “virtual pro” with no unlocks is better than the default players you get.
On the other hand, I don’t really give a rats arse about winning/losing 8-0. I enjoyed the games last night and that’s all I’m bothered about so if we all just jump in and get slaughtered I don’t give a shite.

Well it’s not something you can really appreciate if you support Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal and all the rest. Suffice to say that when you pay money to go and watch a game in League 2, sit there getting pissed wet through and cold and thinking for fucks sake, I was better at football than this lot when I was 13 years old. In fact, my bird was better at football than this lot when she was 13 years old, you tend to develop a bit of a grudge against your team. Made worse by the fact that one day you give your head a shake and think, hang on, why am I even fucking here? This team represents a place which smells and looks like my chocolate starfish on a Sunday morning after I’ve had 15 pints the previous night. Why am I associating myself with this lot?
The only saving grace is that you can say to yourself – well, it could be worse, at least I’m not a dog botherer, at least I don’t support Huddersfield.
Anyhow, I’ll be on at around 10 o’clock tonight, so as long as my connection holds out and there are a few on I’ll be in for a few games.
I’ve never enjoyed getting beat so much as I did in that 8-0 dubbing. I seriously felt at risk of exploding on account of all the laughter!
I went back into the setup for my Pro guy and made him a bit shorter, a bit lighter, this bumped up his speed a hellva lot. After a good few hours play today I’ve knocked off a few more challenges and now it seems my dude only has cement in one of his shoes. Result!

as the old saying goes….football is a game of confidence….and it certainly felt that way in the 2nd game….our oppos looked better on paper….plenty of showboating….but the ole pooper tended to tighten up in front of goal though……good stuff

I only chose em based on there last 2 wins where they scored 12 goals.. I think 🙂 I was going to go Oldham as they are closer to me, infact I might change it hactually for more of a challenge
I upgraded my Pro to 5* last night (not that you could tell ingame) the moves you can do now are brilliant, will be trying for the ronanldoesque cut in on th epitch, if I can keep the ball long enough!
Ok to Ctrl Settings.. what do you all use?? I use manual/semi as much as I can (although you cant tell online what the opponent is using I dont think) so may pop it to semi/assisted on some.. I challenged Space to a manual game, ALL settings on manual and he really enjoyed it, infact we both did, it makes the game so different but is a learning curve, you get more close control over the ball and it seems more fluent to me, its great practice for online too. I think you should give it a try
Now then back to last nights 3 games.. 5, 5 and another 5.. past us in 3 consecutive games, rather shocking! I dont know if it was beacuse there were 6 playing *5 XDC* on the same time but it looked like we’d all had our heads chopped off at a chicken head chopping off farm.. either that or the midfield/forwards were decendents of cats and the ball was covered in catnip.. At one point the ball reminded me of the bald guy from Benny hill.. every fecker chasing him all over the park.. now then I made reference to the yellow arrows and I think you all if not most decided that must be a girlie thing and you dont have it on, well you can f’in tell!. I suggest you do for a time to get used to knowing where you should be, I use it as its too easy to be the moth chasing the light (I’ve finished with references) .. it reminds you go back to where you should be, if only for training purposes, It will stop the ball chasing and maybe keep the shape, I didnt see one team we played have 4/5 players all go for the one ball, they appeared to keep the shape nicely which is why we probably got battered with easy balls through middle.. not as good as my midfield/defence splitting through ball but still 😆 😉
Now I’m not suggesting I can play this game better than all, I’m just throwing a few ideas in to see if we can sort it and get a good team going before we get a trophy for being only team laughed off the pitch, Its a learning curve 🙂
