Come on guys I make one point that it makes sense to pass back from kick off. I stand by this point because when you try and run it forward from kick off everytime we get tackled. Just an observation that’s all. Like other people suggest not holding the run button or others say we need to pass quicker. LOL lets not take the stuff I say out of context and put me up in front of a sunny wall with a smoke hanging out my mouth.

Ha dont be daft, no offence was taken at all, I got all sentimental with regards to why I joined this place, it didnt matter about stats or how good you were, it was just to play with a great bunch of people fairly who like having a laugh etc, thats the code of XDC, I understand its a little different in FIFA as I suppose it can make a difference, but as much as it does annoy me if you get beat, its ok to taste it 🙂
I know the consoles way is a little different, but I’d have thought it would be the same for any gaming tbh
As your the manager you have to deal with stuff like this, and the press, and the crying players doe when they find out someones on more money oh and the infidelity that comes with it too 😉
Not too sure where the “Pass back” malarky came from? I totally agree with you on that one, I do it all the time since you advised, it makes sense and allows a lil bit o time to think.. keeping it in the centre circle on kickoff is bound to end up in tears, you’ll have the ball taken off you in an instant
As for Nani, it was a blip in the city and hull game too.. just a blip, 3 blips on the trot. I think you’ll find that Fergie blasted him for mouthing off to portugese press, left him out for a while to teach him a lesson to keep his head down whilst working hard with him to get him on track (also he was injured), he learnt and you can see the difference in his game already, It was all down to Fergie, he’s done it over the past 24 years.. as well as made a few cock ups but he’s only human. Mebbe your lot should hire him for a week or 2, to work on the mass of talent your manager bought but cant do F all with 🙂
Cool mate just wanted to make sure. It’s funny you mention about the xdc philosophy as it’s always been with that in mind why I ge a bit funny about disconnecting on games or blocking keepers.
Your right about wanting to have fun on the game over all else but I find FIFA really does test that to the limit when getting beat all the time. BAP team play is (to me) more reliant than any other game Ive played on good team play.
Anywho, ws picked up two wins last night – sprogs in the any role for both. That 6-0 thumping Davy, sprog, and myself handed out felt so good/needed.
Of course my personal fave moment was scoring my (ready for this?) my SECOND bicycle kick thanks to a pinpoint cross from the sprogster. Now only 300 more games and I’ll have the diving headers one too!

I too find this game too frustrating as well when we are gettin tonked…..i know this goes against the ethos of what XDC are about…..and i do try to put the fucker down if it gets like that….the problem is once you have had a taste of fine wine dining…..it aint the same goin back to ribena !!!

I quite like this idea. A non serious non competitive team who couldn’t give a toss about the results so long as they had a bit of a giggle doing so, and a more competitive team that are more focused on the win, the stats, and climbing the rankings.
As I said last night, sometimes The Ringers can get a little too intense and want to play beautiful football all the time and beat the crap out of the opposition nothing wrong with that at all but sometimes I just wanna have a game, have a laugh, and take the piss out of some of the duff moves ( we have had plenty to choose from from the last few days with yours truly being the main instigator 😳 ) we make trying to turn over the opposition. After all it’s a game that should be fun, if it gets to the point when every time you play it is pisses you off then maybe it’s times to play a different game?

Probably the best idea since not everyone will like what’s required for a proper competitive team to function. I don’t consider a proper competitive team to be against any XDC ethos, just make sure people know what they’re getting into before they join it and there shouldn’t be any problems. We should do this for future teams in other games as well.

XDCspace 10Ever since putting on The Ringers’ shirt all those nights ago, I’ve only ever wanted to win, and I hate losing as much as anyone here. I’m definitely on the serious, in-it-to-win-it, will shun sexual partners for valuable concentration time, 1st string team (should this idea evolve into an event).
Sure losing, and more importantly, losing badly is demoralising, but it’s those close games and the ones where we thrash teams that make it all worthwhile 🙂
Also, Sunday will be my 2nd night as an honorary Arsenal fan. The first time, Arsenal did get outmuscled 3-0 by Chelsea, but I’m hoping that the game goes a little differently. Don’t you hope so too Sprog? :p

😀The Friday sesh was a laugh. Felt good to put away some wins (and quality ones at that!)
Up for some games today after the Gunners match.
Someone else can be postin’ the results but had to stop in (now that Alzir’s reminded me how), we had some storming results last night! It’s all about getting that win-lose ratio the right way round. I’m optimistic that my 9 streak will fall soon and I can’t wait!
Shame my shooting wasn’t all that yesterday but at least I was putting in the Beckemesque, long-ball setups 🙂

I dont bother going for the upfront anymore, cant be arsed, If I wanted to play a game where every fecker does there best to go as ST/CF, I’d pit my chances at playing online Teams, its the exact same
Nicely done on the postin’. The only thing I don’t like is that sometimes you’ll get a low rating but have actually played a good game (honest!)
Mind you, that fk I scored in the final game where we got tonked *dum-dum, tsh*must have been at least 40 yards out!
Positions? Hmmm I know I whore up the LS position rather a lot. The only real set position is Wavy on the basis that his P:G ratio is through the roof, add to that he’s probably our least selfish player to boot! Dan’s been putting in a good stint at ANY so I think we’re all quite happy with that. The rest? Very much open to debate. We’re all pretty inter-changeable and if someone really wants a go upfront but keeps getting stuck in midfield then I’m sure we’ll swap about for a bit.
Hardest thing about having 6 of us on (which is even better fun than normal) is about the communication. I’m quite surprised for such a bunch of sarcy c*nts we’re unusually quiet at times during the game. I sense a whole lot of eyebrows knotted together in concentration.
Just had another look at those scores, they’re a bit off as the stats are for us overall, not this season where we’re 22 – something – 27 at last count yesterday.
