Basically this is a website dedicated to a Japanese whoe builds futuristic models. Back in the 70’s he made a whole bunch models of what he envisioned that war would be like in the next century. The guy has made a $hit load of models (all of which were scratch built i.e. not from kits) and they’re well worth a look.

Do you think MECs would actually be beneficial in a war zone?
Theres a lot of focus from the Japanese on them, imho the BF2142 MECs look a little more believeable, the large scale city stompers from Japan would just be a visual threat and nothing else, easy to take down via airstirke or spec forces, but the physics of such a giant machine… fuck.. imagine if you were a driver and crashed it, “thats a 60 billion dollar MEC you just pronged Cunningham! And yah took out half of Shanghai in the process.”
