FFS.. getting fucked off now
ok.. Trying to remap my keys as when Zboard died I had to purchase a diff keyboard.. ANYHOOS. it was fine last night but played another game earlier and now me BF2 maps have gone.. SOOOO
I am trying to remap the c**ts but getting that toss “key is in use in helicopter settings” … This is utter toss.. i’ve just blanked out ALL the key binds..
Cany map the crouch key
Anyone know a Fix for this gayness?!?!?
I’ve had that problem too, it’s shite! I don’t think the issue is your keyboard because it’s happened to me on various computers with all sorts of keyboards, the only constant being it’s battlefield. The only fix I’ve found is patience, I keep resetting to default keys start by assigning the crouch key and try that by itself maybe in between restarting the game, after a few attempts it eventually works. If anyone knows a better way I’m all ears.
i think i sorted mine out by going into the config file for the controls and messing about in there…………not much help but may give you an idea.
I tried to remap mine this evening and the left shift gives me that message every farking time…
Left shift is not even in the farking helicopter controls… TWATS”!!!!!
Aye, but Max, the number of keyboards you must go through in apoplectic rages after being owned you have to go for the cheap models 😆

It has to be a game bug.
When i try to change left shift to be a crouch button it tells me that its a duplicate from heil controls so i cant…

And Sane, have you tried modifying the controls.con file, yes, no fancy GUI, but ALL your keys are mapped there, so you can use this to remap the troublesome ones. Just open up the file in notepad, have a look at the relevant area ( think you’ll need to look at the first section: InfantryPlayerInputControlMap ), then find the crouch section ( ControlMap.addKeyToTriggerMapping c_PICrouch IDFKeyboard IDKey_LeftShift ) and change this to whatever you want
