I’ve got serious issues with it as in the pc won’t even boot properly! I’m getting this message flag up:

The current BIOS setting do not fully support the boot device.
Click OK to enter the BIOS setup.

Go to Advanced> Boot> CSM Parameters, and adjust the CSM (compatibility Support Module) settings to enable the boot device.

HELP!!!!! I have no idea what that means though i’ve gone into the BIOS and had a look at the CSM settings but there’s various options and none of which i understand. I had no idea doing the update would cause issues like this, is there any way i can roll my PC back to the win 8 install where it worked near perfectly other than the occasional freeze (something that happened from day 1) from time to time ?

Currently it’s just stuck on the BIOS screen not doing anything so would REALLY appreciate a solution to this ASAP.

    Many, many thanks.

    F’inmg PCs!

    How bout this.

Go into BIOS and set your startup sequence to CD Rom 1st.

Put in your windows cd and boot.

Select the option there to repair an installation and it should let you roll back – just follow instructions.

Cheers doc, that’s what i’m currently doing now. It gave me the option to repair the install but that would mean it deleting any “apps” i’ve installed from disc or websites so i assume my BF games would all have to be re-installed. I’ve now looked at the option of doing a system restore to an earlier time so wonder if that’s the way to go.

As much as i prefer pc’s for gaming in two years of updates i never had this problem with a mac! I guess somethings APPLE just do better.

went to refresh the pc so would lose any apps installed and it can’t do it as it says “the drive where windows is installed is locked, unlock the drive and try again.

    FFS!!!

why oh why did i think it would be as simple as just clicking on update and it would actually do an update.

looks like my only option may be to reinstall windows.

I’ve managed to get it working somehow. Going to rather foolishly do a restart and see what happens!
