Dont want to keep banging on about this guy…. but after finishing the entire quadrilogy of the emperor series I had to check out his latest.
Basically this is the first book of a series based around the life of ghengis khan – the mongol leader who laid the foundations for the largest contiguous empire ever known in history.
Superb stuff as always… hard to put down. Annoying we have to wait till next year for the sequel 🙁
8.5/10 – only loses marks for pointless historical innacuracy (though he hasnt taken as many liberties with this as he did in the emperor novels… which were basically a historical travesty) 😀
