I’ve popped a creative x-fi into my machine, but when i fire up BF2142 and goto the audio options and click on the creative x-fi button it just dumps me back to desktop. 👿
Is this a known problem, or just me? I know a few of you guys have the same card.
Having the same problem with my Audigy 4 card, just gives random ctd and reboot, when I switch to on-board no problems, I tried some old drivers and the problems has gone.
It did that to me on the demo.. I was running a beta driver at the time, I think I removed and installed latest driver.. dont quote me on that but I’m pretty sure I did
I think its a known problem. Seen it on a few forums. I have an X-Fi and its ok but i’m using fairly old drivers. It it aint broke dont fix it and all that.

Had the same issue mate, had to re-install.
Still working fine fella.
A reinstall may be required, mine was already in the box when i installed 2142.

Post your driver version Minti, It may help BM
s’ok m8y, i went along to creative.com and upgraded the drivers.
still haven’t had chance to check out the full glory of BF2142 yet, i’ve got a gargantuan hangover which has kept me bed ridden until 6pm, and i still feel like i need to blow chuncks. 🙄
