Now that I have my new TV on its way to me on Tuesday , Im considering purchasing an Xbox to go with it , I know very little about the Xbox so could you enlighten me ? how many peeps have one and use it online ? do I have do pay subcription to go online with it and can I record TV shows and the like?

But that then asked the question of What PC to get , I want a new monitor big wide screen jobby and a new PC that can run stuff with all the bells and whistles option on , I have not a clue , read through Tukey’s post but seemed gibberish to me I dont even know what graphics card I have in the one I am using?

Cost of XBOX360 Elite = 200quid, plug and play.
Cost of new PC = unlimited, crash to desktop guaranteed.
There must be over 5 of us playing on the XBOX and Battlefield1943 is on it and only costs 10quid to download – top notch game.
Also, if you like playing music get Rockband or Guitar Hero with the drum sets, amazing fun.

Ignore Doc, he’s anti console for some odd reason.. his theory is shit anyway, for a start, you’ve already fucked his clear head up by mentioning a PC, then followed up with Budget, the next is explaining all those components that will be good for about 3 months till you need to upgrade, then his head gets fecked up more… in the end he’ll be selling his now old PC to fund his new crack addiction.. when all he has to do is goto shop, purchase a 360, go home, plug it in to his brand spanking TV, sit back and enjoy endless nights of excitment
Theres lots and lots of us with Xbox 360.. but to answer your originally ignored questions, It’s £39.99 for xboxlive gold, thats an annual purchase, no you cannot record Programs as far as I know, BUT there is SKY+ comming to 360 in near future, whether it will let you record progs I dont know, however I dont see why not to be honest.. jebus if they can come up with an idea like Natal, they can do anything 🙂

Hope you didnt pay over a tenner for it.. I got it on offer a bit ago for £9.95, well my mate bought 3 copies for us all (in return for a pint which is a bargain) we played a few games, went online, got owned by nerds who’ve been playing it since birth and fucked it off.. i gave it to my nephew, the SP is good, but MP isnt as good as it was the first time round 🙁
