alzir havent u got that mixed up?
cp_well and ctf_well (comes with TF2 with the ctf one added on friday) they are new versions of well from TFC.
ctf_well2 IS a remake of ctf_well from TFC
and ctf-well is a remake of a quake/doom level I believe.
lol BF spawn times are much longer, but then you did a lot of trasping around to get into the action.
I believe theres some kind of map spawn time factored in as well as the std you set on the server. as it varies between maps i noticed.
were u setting it to 10 secs alzir? as that line is commented out and the force respawn option is off?
Looks to me that its using the original game method as it comes out of the box.
Alzir I had ping issues like u have when I was at uni with NTL about 5 years ago lol.
had them for 1 year and not a single problem, next year moved to another house at uni on the otherside of the uni and started getting crazy ping issues, but web browsing and downloading was fine.
spent a lot of time on phone queues and so on to get them to sort it which in the end resulted in them refunding me for the calls (although the calls were made on their network lol) and they moved me to a new cable branch as the one I was on was oversubscribed. also they did some maintenance work that was partly the cause for the problem! so you never know!
http://www.cablehell.com I think is the site and forums where theres lots of info about troubleshooting and trying to get stuff sorted with cable internet. also there are mods and people from VM who post on their in an unoffical capacity to help people out :), found it quite useful myself (used to be called ntlhell.com lol)
I just think its funny that bluesnake had problems with VM and now doing better on ADSL and I had bad problems with ADSL and now on cable VM and its perfect lol!

As I get great pings to both MPUK and Rackage, 12ms – 20ms normally

TF2 is identical on our and rats servers performance wise. nothing in it at all except who as admin control 😛
gonzo to speak to phart about rackage server price and specs.
I have admin access for it if needed.

Would be annoying if the ranked cod4 server restricted access to all the other servers on the pc which from what gonzo said would be the case. dam ppl and their stat whoring lol
