ParticipantLOL When EA release a game on schedule with ‘waived’ bugs and others that can usually only come out when half the world is testing it these boards are alight with “F**K EA, BUGGY SHITE”.
So now they delay Spore for a few months for maybe a design shift or even gameplay improvements and still people aren’t happy. So which would you rather?
Games should be finished and released when they are ready and not before. TF2 was on the boiler for 9 years but a more polished product I’ve yet to see.
grumblegrumble…..
yea ok September is closer to Christmas so it’s probably a cha-ching marketing decision….bleh 🙁

ParticipantThat ‘chin up’ guys so casual about it too, even with zero fear of heights you’d expect a degree of caution to be apparent.
That said I can’t see how it could have been faked but I would have expected more wind at that height.
of course they may indeed be just f**kin’ “not long for this world” nutters.

ParticipantI don’t see the point of Vista yet, untill all games go DX10 (and show significant improvements over DX9) and Micro$oft don’t have a gun to your head then stick with XP imo.

ParticipantI’m guessing this will be old hat to most of you, but have any of you guys set up static IPs from your router and then done all the correct port forwarding to the application/game? It was a little time consuming but it’s not difficult and it sorted my CS:S and Steam problems out (but NZ internet is stoneage in comparison to the uk).
Also, getting your ISP to turn off ‘interleaving’ (which I think is some bullshi7 error checking that just adds latency) makes a massive difference. NZ Telecom pretty much tell you to f**k off when you ask but other ISP’s will gladly turn it off and it instantly took 40 – 60ms off my TF2 ping. Decent routers can report if it’s set to on or off for your connection if you want to check. Off FTW!
step by step here —-> http://www.portforward.com
Like you say though, I doubt the server issues are all ISP ones.

Participantthere’s quite a few cool slow-mo vids there. I liked this one, especially the dragster tyre at the end.
