BT’s speed test service, it will show you what your IP profile is set to at the exchange……….give it the 10 day settling in period then if no change get in touch with your isp to submit a stuck profile ticket with BT.

could it be the 10 day running in period ? BT do an update every 3 days to adjust your IP rating, they forgot to do mine so i went 10 days without moving off my 2Mb service, once i put the complaint in it eventually went up to 6.8Mb but it does drop to between 2.5mb and 4mb at certain times.
only 2 things are guaranteed young turkling…………..

use the isp compare on http://www.thinkbroadband.com as well, you can then compare different ips for service, reliability etc

Another thing, check to see if any work has been carried out at your exchange recently using this site http://usertools.plus.net/exchanges/
and also keep doing speed tests at various times of the day so that you can tell the saps at AOL that you’ve been monitoring it throughout the day…
the 2nd one also gives you your IP profile.

wheels…….have you been able to do any checks on your line for noise etc ? Are you using a router, if so which one as you may be able to check line noise etc with that ??
could you not use the S-video analogue out and get the audio out from the headphone jack using a stereo mini jack cable with the red/white phono jacks at the other end ?
