Well anyhows, i was asking what the difference would be between the ultimate version of win 7 and the home premium edition ?
I’m also going to wait until the system specs are released and hopefully by then the price of a directX 11 card will have dropped.
i didn’t think it would be worth the cost of upgrading the monitor, my 19″ works fine, buying a new one means less cash to spend on the pc.
budget has to top out at around £1000 max.
i’m going to wait until it’s released or the very least the specs confirmed. I just like to do my homework and get back into what’s what.
as for my current pc, i’m going to open it up and give it a good clean out. Ideally it could do with a clean install but i’m not sure about the drives i have in raid; if i format will they lose the raid config ? The hdd’s are also SATA and i understand on these early mobos the pci hdd had to be installed first then the sata ones afterwards (or summat like that).
no, you’re right toothy. Credit cards are covered by a separate agreement within the consumer protection act (or summat) that effectively means the credit card company is liable for any losses incurred as they are buying the product for you thus if a fraud is committed they have to reimburse you for the cost of goods and then try and reclaim the losses.

was enjoying it but my pc kept dying! I don’t think it’s memory as i’ve changed them; i don’t think it’s gfx card getting too hot as it has happened when i’m not running games so i can only assume the cpu is getting too hot, forcing the pc to stop working.
